About Me!

I am an elementary education major in college. I love books. All books really. Some of my favorite genres are classics, Christian historical fiction, kids books, and mystery books! I also love love love exclamation points!!! So on this blog you'll probably see a lot of those ;) I am so very excited that you are reading this. I hope my blog helps you to find that perfect book that you were searching for. It's always important to Love What You're Reading! You can follow my Pinterst, Twitter, Facebook, and Google + accounts. Also, there is a place at the bottom of the blog to sign up for an email subscription! Please, I would love love love to hear from you! Comment on anything (or everything!) I'll try to respond to everyone!

P.S. Like seriously less than five pictures on this blog are my work. Mostly I get them from the internet. That's what the internet's for, right?

P.P.S. I love languages. I pick them up pretty easily. I especially enjoy French and Russian and I'm working on German some too, but mostly French and Russian.

  2. Hi, Erica! I'm a teacher who recently received a publishing contract for my first biblical fiction novel. It's a teen novel based on the story of David and Jonathan. It's not set to release until June, but I can get advanced copies/ecopy. I would love for you to take a look at it. It's a relatively short (20,000 words) read.

  3. Dear Angels,
I’m the author of [Biblical Dysfunctional Families that Made it and So Can You, no more excuses!] and I’m looking for bloggers who would like a free review copy. Here’s a little bit about the book:
    “Biblical Dysfunctional Family”

The book has already received positive reviews, such as this one:
“Biblical Dysfunctional Families That Made it and Now So Can You, No More Excuses is so eloquently put together. It has helped me in my continued studies to discover how today’s families are not so different from the families of two thousand years ago. In my teen years, I was taken aback when my World History textbook made mention of Jesus along with Julius Caesar. That was my first connection with the biblical stories being a real-life encounter. For a moment in my life, I stepped outside of what I was told growing up and took a look at the Bible from a different perspective.
Among the many books I have read, Biblical Dysfunctional Families ranks as one of my top favorites and I still reference it in helping others when they want to know why they are going through certain things in life. Some can’t find the right passage in the Bible but have found peace in a short story like Those Ungrateful Relatives or Anointing without Discipline in this book. I think about why many people turn from religion in their youth only to return as the age of wisdom develops within them; this being their lack of ability to relate the stories and messages of the Bible to modern life experiences.
Sandra has a clear understanding of the Bible and has put concise thought into what this means to us today and how to translate the stories into real life situations that are understandable and relatable. Every person has experienced at least one of these stories and can now take a deep breath knowing that there is an answer. I will never forget the first chapter, A Paradise Lost. After reading it, I saw the relevance and referred the book to everyone I know. I still talk with my mother about some of the stories that we both enjoyed. I hope that when I pass this treasure on to my children, they too will see a different perspective on biblical life and draw from the experiences to help them find their way in life today.
