Review: The Nanny Solution by Barbara Phinney

I'm going to use the plot summary from the back of the book.
When heiress Victoria Templeton learns her fortune is gone, she has to move to the Colorado frontier to live with her uncle. but with no money to pay for the trip, she must accept a position as a traveling nanny for a widowed rancher. And, much to the chagrin of the man entrusting his children to her car, she soon finds herself in over her head.

Mitch MacLeod lives for two things: his ranch and his children. And pampered Victoria isn't qualified to help with either. But the former socialite has more grit-and determination-than he first thinks. If her uncle has his way, though, Mitch will soon lose his ranch-and any hope of a future with Victoria

I give this book a 5.

1: It was a romance book, but it was sweet and not all ooshy-gooshy! It was the perfect amount without going over any lines!

2:I loved the fact that a few times an element of suspense was thrown into the mix.

3: I loved the children. They added a lot to the story, and to the plot and how everything played out. And also how Mitch and Victoria both just accepted Emily like she was.

4: Rachel may not have had a huge part in every chapter, but she added something to the whole dynamic of the story. She was compassionate to the woman of ill-repute (no bad details given!) and also to her cousin who she seemed to empathize with even after knowing her for such a short time! It was one of my favorite things.

5: The masterful use of Pride, and the repeated Bible verse, it was beautifully woven into the work. It was really maybe more influencial to the story line than about anything else in the book! Well done!

Review: The Confession by Beverly Lewis

This is the sequel to The Shunning, in which book Katie Lapp finds out that she is adopted, that she is not Amish, and that her real name is Katherine Mayfield. Also her mother, Laura Mayfield is terminally ill with malignant MS. In this book Katie has left the Amish community because of the shunning. She finds her birth mom only to discover an imposter is posing as Katie Lapp because of the large inheritance Katie is set to receive. She tries to straighten things out but gets stopped whichever way she turns! Also, there are alternate story lines describing the way the Amish community is reacting to Katie's shunning.

This book is 100% a 5!

1: I love any book that give me an emotional roller coaster ride and this book answers that description to a tee! I was on the verge of tears almost the entire book!

2: The storyline about Rebecca Lapp, Katie's Amish mama, is so sweet and sad. It makes me want to cry, she just wants Katie back so badly! And you can also tell that Katie's Amish father and her sister in law also want Katie back so badly but are afraid to show it, because then they also might get shunned. Its just a mess, the whole deal is messed UP!

3: Okay, so I think Mary is possibly the best friend ever, because she cared so much that she was willing to risk being shunned herself to reach out to Katie and to help her in any way she could.

4: The Mayfield servants are incredible! I mean it. I would love to know them all in real life if I could! I mean Rosie and Fulton, what cute little suspicious lovebirds! And then Theodore, I was in love with him for real!

5: SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read the first book or watched the movies.....Daniel....WHAT EVEN.... you died..but you didn't... life is confusing!

Review: The Glass Castle by Trisha White Priebe & Jerry B. Jenkins

This book is about how Avery gets kidnapped and put with a lot of other kids. Then she finds out that all the kids are 13. They are all kidnapped and all orphans, except Avery who has a father still alive. Avery soon finds out that they are being hidden from the king and his fiancé, who is his wife by the end of the book. And to add an extra twist, one of them is the true heir to the throne. Avery also has a necklace given to her by her mother that belonged to the first queen. And I'm going to stop now before I tell the whole story.

This is such a 5 . Not even joking!

1: It's a mystery, I love mysteries. I can't wait till October when the sequel "The Ruby Moon" comes out. This one had so many cliffhangers at the end.

2: Kate, what even is she. I'm so confused. I need to know. She adds such a great part to the story.

3: Tuck......can I just leave it at that?

4: The bad guy is such a bad guy. Like I wanna just kick her or kill her or something. Way to go evil queen.

5: I wanna know what is in the secret room....please someone help....I love cliffhangers. They always make me wanna read more.

This story was recommended to me by my book buddy Claire. She never steers me wrong. And it took me a little less than 2 hours to read.

Review: The Miner's Lady by Tracie Peterson

Chantal Panetta's family has been with odds with the Calarcos for generations and that isn't going away anytime soon....until Isabella Panetta falls in love with Orlando Calarco. Chantal tries to stop Issy but to no avail. In fact she finds herself falling for Orlando's big brother Dante. Mr. Calarco however threatens to disown both boys and Dante fears it will be much worse than that. True love stops for no man though and Issy and Orlando elope, while Dante and Chantal fight their feelings for each other.

This is a 4.5⭐️ because

1: This is the 3rd book in the Land of Shining Waters series. All 3 have been amazing books once I got into them. Unfortunately it has taken 5 or 6 chapters with each of the 3.

2: That being said, I love this book. I enjoyed trying to interpret the scattered Italian using my French basics since they are similar. I love how Tracie Peterson always incorporates her characters background into her stories!

3: I still cant believe that Chantal fell asleep before she could sneak out of the hotel!

4: Nonna Barbato and Nonna Panetta were friends in Italy!!! Ahhh... I love it.

5: I was so glad when Chantal and Dante finally came to their senses and I was glad that Issy and Orlando made it to the wedding!!

Review: A Beauty Refined by Tracie Peterson

This book is about a girl who comes to America with her father to find sapphires and finds so much more. Phoebe's  father told her that her mother was dead, that she had died in a sinking ship 10 years ago. Phoebe is shocked to learn that her father may have lied to her. She also meets a handsome lapidary who cuts the beautiful sapphires. True love may not be the only thing Phoebe finds in America.

Absolutely a 5⭐️ no question.

1: Best book I have read in awhile. I always enjoy Tracie Peterson's books and this was no disappointment. Also, the cover is AMAZING!!!! I love it!

2: Thank you Sapphire Duchess for not being a complete nitwit!! And Eckhardt, I love how he was all mysterious and I thought he was gonna hurt Phoebe or Kenny or Elizabeth or try and steal the sapphires and then he didn't and I was so glad!

3: I loved Elizabeth's character! I love how she and Phoebe interacted and then with Kenny and I was getting super excited for Phoebe to realize about Kenny!

4: Thank you for not making them wait til the end of the book to find each other! I probably would have had a stroke! And it was so sweet when they did find each other and then Phoebe was like "Mutti" and I just died!!!

5: Frederick Von Bergen, total shock and plot twist at the end there. I was shocked to say the least. But he totally deserved it.

Review: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

Anne coming to Green Gables was a mistake. Anne staying there was Providence. Marilla and Matthew were shocked to learn that their request for a boy was bungled but by the end of the book they are so very glad that it happened. She is the light of their lives. The best thing that happened to them. As for Anne, she adores everything about her new life in Avonlea, its everything she has dreamed of, everything except Gilbert Blythe, whom Anne detests.

I give this book a 5⭐️  absolutely, without hesitation.

1: Any book that can have me laughing out loud one minute and crying the next and then burning with rage the next is an amazing book.

2: I love Marilla. Matthew always has been willing to show his love but Marilla takes time. Anne wears her down. They have the most splendid relationship. Marilla's always trying to be stern but her love for Anne lets her smile more often than she used to.

3: Oh, Gilbert, what to do about him. He adds so much with his constant feuding with Anne.

4: Rachel Lynde is such an opinionated character. But I love her anyways. I love everyone in the story. I love Mrs. Allen too.

SPOILER BELOW PICTURE

5: Matthew, please , I did not give you permission to die and break my heart!!!!

Review: From This Moment by Elizabeth Camden

Romulus White has wanted Stella West to work for him for three years. Now he may get the opportunity but Stella has other things on her mind , like finding out who killed her sister Gwendolyn. But Stella gets close and makes the killer uncomfortable. Things get dangerous and Romulus is somewhere in the middle, trying to keep his magazine a float and trying to help Stella.

Absolutley no doubt that this is a 5⭐️ Worth reading again and again.
1: It had so many plot twists. Just as I began to think trust him I got thrown the other way. Don't trust anyone but Romulus Evelyn and Clyde. That's what I learned. Because everyone has their own side. They may still be good but good isn't the same as trustworthy.

2: Evelyn and Clyde have the sweetest storyline. Willingness to work together after a crisis. Love it.

3: Romulus doesn't laugh at Stella's convictions about the murder of her sister. He takes her seriously. I love how they make the perfect team. They always have each other backs.

4: All the characters mature as the story goes along. You like them at the beginning but you love them by the end.

5: Honesty is so stressed. It solves so many problems. And harmony also. I just love this author.
