The queen of WWII is bringing another wonderful story in her series that focuses on Normandy {incidentally the only battle I am remotely informed on as it was the focus of my 6th grade research paper ;)} And once again, the cover designer really delivered! Coming Feb 2019
Numbed by grief and harboring shameful secrets, Lt. Adler Paxton ships to England with the US 357th Fighter Group in 1943. Determined to become an ace pilot, Adler battles the German Luftwaffe in treacherous dogfights in the skies over France as the Allies struggle for control of the air before the D-day invasion.
Violet Lindstrom wanted to be a missionary, but for now she serves in the American Red Cross, where she arranges entertainment for the men of the 357th in the Aeroclub on base and sets up programs for local children. Drawn to the mysterious Adler, she enlists his help with her work and urges him to reconnect with his family after a long estrangement.
Despite himself, Adler finds his defenses crumbling when it comes to Violet. But D-day draws near. And secrets can't stay buried forever.
Ибо так возлюбил Бог мир, что отдал Сына Своего Единородного, дабы всякий верующий в Него, не погиб, но имел хизнь вечную.
While I receive many books in exchange for review, I am never required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: Code of Valor by Lynette Eason
Coming Jan 2019! I can't wait! This is one of my favorite series so far by Lynette Eason! She blows me away with the St. John family! #excited ;)
What Detective Brady St. John really needs is a relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, just as the sun is setting on his second day at a friend's cabin on Lake Henley, he hears a scream and races to rescue a woman from her would-be killer. When the killer escapes only to return to finish the job, Brady vows to utilize all of his many resources to keep her safe--and catch those who would see her dead.
Financial crimes investigator Emily Chastain doesn't trust many people. And even though she let the detective who saved her life in on a few pertinent facts about why she was being attacked, there are some things you just don't share with a stranger. Little does she suspect that the secret she is keeping just might get them both killed.
Plus switching the cover up a little. It's green instead of blue.... Cool!

Waiting-On-Wednesday: The Lady of Tarpon Springs by Judith Miller
Judith Miller was the first author I read that introduced me to this type of book. Bethany House has gotten quite a lot of business from me because of Judith Miller's Pullman trilogy. This book is set to come out in July.
In 1905 Tarpon Springs, Florida, Zanna Krykos values the independence her career as a lawyer gives her from her very traditional Greek family and the pressure they put on her to find a husband. When a friend inherits a sponging business, Zanna finds herself agreeing to run it for her . . . even though she doubts her legal skills make her qualified.
When offered the chance to lead a team of sponge divers to the United States, experienced Greek diver Nico Kalos can't imagine a better opportunity. But his excitement quickly quells when their team arrives only to discover that a young woman with no experience will be their boss. For the sake of his men and the families they support, he can't let the business fail.
But when both the business and the lives of the employees are threatened, can Zanna and Nico set aside their pride and come together to save what matters most?

Waiting-On-Wednesday: A Breath of Hope by Lauraine Snelling
Lauraine Snelling is definitely a great author, and I've been a fan since my early teen years, starting with the Golden Filly series. Most recently I've enjoyed her book From This Day Forward. A Breath of Hope is publishing April 2018.
But America is not everything Nilda imagined. A terrifying experience in a lumber camp shakes Nilda's confidence and trust in men, but a job helping a young widow raise her children and run her farm gives her a chance to build her own life. When she meets Fritz, the children's schoolteacher, she is initially unimpressed and uninterested. His kindness and passion for learning begin to win her over, but how can she sacrifice her dreams for the future for a man she's still not sure of?

Waiting-On-Wednesday: The Heart's Appeal by Jennifer Delamere
The Heart's Appeal is a sequel to The Captain's Daughter, which my grandma borrowed and declared a really good book, and it comes out March of 2018. Jennifer Delamere is a new-to-me author, but I really enjoy her style.
Coming from a family that long ago lost its money and its respectability, Michael Stephenson has achieved what many would have thought was impossible. Hard work and an aptitude for the law have enabled him to rise above his family's stigma and set him on the path to wealth and recognition. But his well-laid plans are upended when the accident brings Julia into his life.
Michael soon discovers he's met a woman every bit as stubborn and determined to make her mark on the world as he is. Sparks fly--but will they find common ground?

Waiting-On-Wednesday: The Sea Before Us by Sarah Sundin
I like to call Sarah Sundin the "Queen of WWII". This series will focus on Normandy and D-Day. I can't wait since that is one of my favorite parts to read about when learning about WWII.
Feb 2018.
As the two spend concentrated time together in the pressure cooker of war, their deepening friendship threatens to turn to love. Dorothy must resist its pull. Her bereaved father depends on her, and her heart already belongs to another man. Wyatt too has much to lose. The closer he gets to Dorothy, the more he fears his efforts to win the war will destroy everything she has ever loved.
The tense days leading up to the monumental D-Day landing blaze to life under Sarah Sundin's practiced pen with this powerful new series.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: A Passionate Hope by Jill Eileen Smith
Jill is an incredible author, and I love how she creates a beautiful web around familiar Bible stories, while still staying within parameters that keep it in possibilities that aren't detailed in the Bible, but could be right anyway. Hannah's story will be published in February 2018.
Pressured by his family to take another wife, Elkanah marries Peninnah, who quickly begins to bear children. Disgraced and taunted by her husband's new wife, Hannah turns again to prayers that seem doomed to go unanswered. Do her devotion and kindness in the face of Peninnah's cruelty count for nothing? Why does God remain silent and indifferent to her pleas?
Travel back to the dusty streets of Shiloh with an expert guide as Jill Eileen Smith brings to life a beloved story of hope, patience, and deliverance that shows that even the most broken of relationships can be restored.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: Out of the Ordinary by Jen Turano
Jen Turano is by far and away one of the funniest authors I've ever encountered. Her works are filled with a humor that is borderline ridiculous, in the best possible way. Out of the Ordinary releases in November and I can't wait to see what kind of laughs she'll bring.
Working as a paid companion may be quite commonplace, but Miss Gertrude Cadwalader's eccentric employer makes her job unpredictable, to say the least. She finds herself carrying out an array of highly unusual tasks, including wearing peculiar outfits and returning items the woman pilfered. But when the wealthy Mrs. Sinclair catches Gertrude sneaking around the Sinclair yacht with some of the missing items in her possession, she immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion.
Shipping magnate Harrison Sinclair is caught in the middle of a misunderstanding between his mother and Gertrude, but he can't help coming to his friend's defense. Even as he hopes their friendship might become something more, Harrison is unprepared for the outlandish escapades that seem to follow the lovely, anything-but-ordinary Gertrude at every turn.
Jen Turano is the USA Today bestselling author of nine books and lives in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. Visit her website at www.jenturano.com.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: Death at Thorburn Hall by Julianna Deering
Julianna Deering writes wonderful mysteries that put me in the mood for a good British period drama, like Poirot.
This book comes out in November.
Drew Farthering arrives in idyllic Scotland for the 1935 British Open at Muirfield, hoping for a relaxing holiday with his wife, Madeline, and friend Nick. But death meets him once again when Lord Rainsby, their host at Thorburn Hall, is killed in a suspicious riding accident--only days after confiding in Drew his fears that his business partner was embezzling funds.
Thorburn Hall is filled with guests, and as Drew continues to dig, he realizes that each appears to have dark motives for wanting Rainsby out of the way. Together with Madeline and Nick, he must sort through shady business dealings, international intrigue, and family tensions to find a killer who always seems to be one step ahead.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: A Song Unheard by Roseanna M White
I just finished A Name Unknown, the first in the Shadows Over England series, and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Book 2 comes out in January, but I can't see how it can be any better than book 1. You really need to add Roseanna to your favorite authors list.

Waiting-On-Wednesday: Out of the Ashes by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse
If you remember from this past January, I loved book 1 in the Heart of Alaska series. I was over the top in love. (And it introduced me to Kimberley Woodhouse, who is definitely a favorite author now.) I'm so excited about Out of the Ashes. It releases January 2018, and I know it's going to be a tough wait.
Katherine Demarchis is a young widow who does not grieve the dangerous husband she was forced to marry. Now she just wants to retreat to a quiet life, content to be alone. First, though, she's agreed to accompany her grandmother on a final trip, but never expects to see a man from her past.
Katherine and Jean-Michel once shared a deep love that was torn apart by forces beyond their control. Reunited now, have the years changed them too deeply to rediscover what they had? And when Jean-Michel's nightmares return with terrifying consequences, will faith be enough to heal what's been broken for so long?

Waiting-On-Wednesday: Cherished Mercy by Tracie Peterson
I've read books one and two, and enjoyed them so much. You can find those reviews on my blog. Cherished Mercy is book 3 in the Heart of the Frontier series, and I can't wait to read Mercy's story.
Honestly, I really just wanted to jump through the book (Beloved Hope) and tell her the truth about Faith, although I'm not sure why.
Cherished Mercy comes out in September of this year.
Mercy Flanagan survived the Whitman Massacre as a child, and now her heart's cry is for peace between the native peoples and the white settlers inhabiting Oregon Territory. Unfortunately, most of the settlers want the tribes removed from the land completely, one way or another.
At the request of family friend Eletta Browning, who is experiencing a difficult pregnancy, Mercy travels south to the Rogue River Valley to help. At the Browning Mission, she meets Eletta's brother-in-law, Adam. Despite her attempts to befriend him, Adam seems determined to focus on ministering to the local tribes and keeps her at arm's length. Why is he so intent on pushing her away?
When tragedy strikes and tensions in the territory reach the combustion point, Mercy is pushed to the limit of her strength. She and Adam will have to rely on their faith in God and on each other in order to make it out alive.
This may also be the prettiest cover of the three.
